Maria Lopez Gena Knutson, Vista Community Clinic Yael Castillo Damian Sanchez Jennifer Gill, Vista Community Clinic

City Council Members and staff discussed the following:
• Many businesses voluntarily prohibit smoking on patios; seems to be support for smoke-free dining
• Seconded hand smoke is harmful and a concern to many people • The Vista Municipal Code has a provision for no smoking within 20 feet of windows and doors, but there is a loophole when it comes to outdoor dining areas • Should focus on dining areas, not bars and breweries that don’t have kitchens • Smoking is harmful to youth; some breweries are family friendly
