RECOMMENDATION: Discuss and consider the authorization to display an LGBTQ Progressive Pride Flag during the month of June 2022.
PRIOR ACTION: On June 8, 2021, proclaimed June 2021 as “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Pride Month” in the City of Vista (No Vote).
On June 9, 2020, proclaimed June 2020 as “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Pride Month” in the City of Vista (No Vote).
On June 11, 2019, adopted City Council Resolution No. 2019-79, proclaiming June 2019 as “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Pride Month” in the City of Vista (Vote: 5-0).
STATEMENT ON THE SUBJECT: Councilmember Contreras requested the City Manager place a discussion item on an upcoming agenda to discuss displaying an LGBTQ Progressive Pride Flag at the Civic Center during the month of June 2022, in recognition of LGBTQ Pride Month.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no direct fiscal impact associated with this discussion item.
