PRIOR ACTION: On March 22, 2022, confirmed the Mayor’s recommendations for appointments to various Commissions, Boards, and Committees (Vote: 5-0).
STATEMENT ON THE SUBJECT: The Vista Unified School District (VUSD) is asked to make recommendations for appointment of VUSD representatives to four of the City’s Commissions: Community Safety Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Public Arts Commission, and Traffic Commission.
The VUSD seat on the Public Arts Commission is currently vacant. On November 17, 2022, the VUSD Board of Trustees approved the recommendation that Jennifer Salesky serve as the VUSD representative on the Public Arts Commission. The seat was previously filled by Dawn Inouye.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no direct fiscal impact associated with the staff recommendation.
