RECOMMENDATION: Adopt City Council Resolution No. 2023- , amending regular meeting dates for 2023.
CORRELATION TO CITY COUNCIL GOALS: Routine operational item not corresponding to a specific City Council goal.
PRIOR ACTION: On February 28, 2023, introduced and adopted City Council Ordinance No. 2023-06, amending Chapter 2.12 of the Vista Municipal Code regarding City Council Workshop dates and times (Vote: 5-0).
On November 15, 2022, adopted City Council Resolution No. 2022-158, setting regular meeting dates for 2023 (Vote: 5-0).

STATEMENT ON THE SUBJECT: In accordance with Section 2.12.030.A of the Vista Municipal Code, the City Council adopted regular meeting dates for 2023 by resolution. On February 28, 2023, the City Council adopted an ordinance amending Vista Municipal Code Chapter 2.12.030.D regarding City Council Workshop dates and times. Workshop meeting dates have been changed to the first Thursday of the month, starting at 6:00 pm. These changes to the Code are effective March 30, 2023. The attached resolution sets the meeting dates for April 2023 through December 2023, reflecting the new Workshop meeting dates.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no direct fiscal impact associated with the staff recommendation.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CHARTERED CITY OF VISTA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING REGULAR MEETING DATES FOR 2023 The City Council the City of Vista does resolve as follows:
1. Findings. The City Council hereby finds and declares the following:
A. Pursuant to Section 2.12.030.A of the Vista Municipal Code, the City Council shall identify regular meeting dates for the City by resolution.
B. The City Council desires to amend the adopted meeting dates to reflect recent changes in the municipal code regarding meeting dates.
2. Action.
A. The regular meeting dates for April 2023 through December 2023 shall be as follows:
April 6 June 13 October 5
April 11 June 27 October 10
April 25 August 8 October 24
May 4 August 22 November 2
May 9 September 7 November 14
May 23 September 12 December 7
June 1 September 26 December 12
The meeting dates for the prior months are as adopted by Resolution No 2022-158.
