STATEMENT ON THE SUBJECT: Councilmember Melendez requested the City Manager bring a resolution forward recommending the appointment of Tazheen Nizam to the City of Vista’s seat on the Palomar Airport Advisory Committee (PAAC). The PAAC is an advisory body appointed by the San Diego County Board of Supervisors to provide input related to planning and operations at the McClellan-Palomar Airport. The City of Vista’s seat on this committee has been vacant since July 2022, and no other residents have requested the appointment.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no direct fiscal impact associated with this discussion item.
