PRIOR ACTION: On June 8, 2021, adopted City Council Resolution No. 2021-89, approving the Fiscal Years 2021/22 and 22/23 Operating Budget (Vote: 5-0).
STATEMENT ON THE SUBJECT: In November 2022, the dishwasher at the Gloria McClellan Senior Center broke due to normal age-related wear-and-tear. The electrical wiring behind the previous dishwasher was outdated and required a full update before a new dishwasher could be purchased and installed. Now that the Senior Center is prepared to install a new dishwasher, staff recommends moving $21,596 out of a reserve account and into the Senior Nutrition Operating Budget for expense.
Staff conducted informal bidding which resulted in two quotes due to limited options for the type of dishwasher that can be installed with the existing power and ventilation configuration. Bidding information is included as Exhibit 3. The quote from the lowest bid to purchase and install the new dishwasher at this price is included as Exhibit 2.
FISCAL IMPACT: A budget adjustment is attached as Exhibit 1A to move $21,596 of Senior Center reserves from account 0010000.310779 to Senior Nutrition Equipment Maintenance/Services Account 1070550.531600 for expense in FY24.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CHARTERED CITY OF
VISTA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEARS 2021/22 AND 2022/23
The City Council of the City of Vista does resolve as follows:
1. Findings. The City Council hereby finds and declares the following:
A. On June 8, 2021, the City Council adopted Resolution 2021-89, approving the Fiscal Years 2021/22 and 22/23 Operating Budget.
B. The City Council desires to amend the Operating Budget at this time to reflect changed circumstances.
2. Action.
A. The Operating Budget for Fiscal Years 2021/22 and 2022/23 is amended as set forth in Exhibit A.
3. Adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Vista held on June 27, 2023, by the following vote:
