As required in City Council Policy 600-07, the residents of this street segment submitted a petition for the installation of speed humps. Exhibits 3 and 4 are the petition and petition verification map, which show that a majority of nearby residents are in support of speed humps on this segment.

Staff collected data that showed the prevailing speeds between Cota Lane & Northerly End to be around 34 miles per hour. The speed study is attached as Exhibit 5.

The adjacent properties have been notified that this proposal will be on the May 13, 2025 City Council agenda. Exhibits 6 and 7 contain the notice and a map of notified properties.

The CityEngineerwill set forth the basisfor the recommended prioritiesin a reportaccompanyingthe prioritylist.

Unless thereis an overriding consideration suchas high incidenceof speed- related accidents, prioritieswill benormallyestablishedby multiplyingthe percentageof motorists exceeding25 mph by the 24-hour traffic volumeof the street in question.
