RECOMMENDATION: Adopt City Council Resolution No. 2025- , setting regular meeting dates for 2026.
CORRELATION TO CITY COUNCIL GOALS: Routine operational item not corresponding to a specific City Council goal.
PRIOR ACTION: On September 9, 2025, adopted City Council Resolution No. 2025-161, revising the calendar of regular meeting dates for 2025 to change the October 2, 2025 meeting start time to 6:00 pm and the November regular meeting to Wednesday, November 12, 2025. (Vote: 5-0) On December 10, 2024, adopted City Council Resolution No. 2024-192, setting regular meeting dates for 2025. (Vote: 5-0)

STATEMENT ON THE SUBJECT: Pursuant to Section 2.12.030.A of the Vista Municipal Code, the City Council shall annually identify regular meeting dates for the City by resolution. The proposed resolution (Exhibit 1) establishes the regular meeting dates for 2026.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no direct fiscal impact associated with the staff recommendation.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CHARTERED CITY OF VISTA, CALIFORNIA, SETTING REGULAR MEETING DATES FOR 2026 The City Council the City of Vista does resolve as follows:
1. Findings. The City Council hereby finds and declares the following:
A. Pursuant to Section 2.12.030.A of the Vista Municipal Code, the City Council shall identify regular meeting dates for the City by resolution.
