TATEMENT ON THE SUBJECT: Capital Improvement Project (CIP) No. 8381 addresses a known sewer capacity deficit identified in the 2017 and 2025 sewer master plans. The work generally consists of installing an 18-inch sewer line beginning at the cul -de-sac of Via Centre, extending along Via Centre to Hacienda Drive, and then crossing Hacienda Drive and the SR -78 Freeway utilizing trenchless jack and bore construction technology at depths of 20-25 feet. The scope includes installation of four (4) 60-inch manholes, boring approximately 350 feet across the SR-78 freeway, open trenching approximately 400 feet along Via Centre, and reconstructing two (2) service laterals. In addition, the contractor will be responsible for permitting through CalTrans, constructing boring and receiving pits, trenching to depths of up to 28 feet (with proper shoring), performing associated surface repairs, and all appurtenant work to complete the project.
This includes the rehabilitation of curb, gutter, sidewalk, ADA pedestrian ramp, and a driveway, resurfacing Via Centre, and restoring any disturbed landscaping.
