Dear Aaron:

Subject: CVBID Advisory Board Events Recommendation
The Central Vista Business Improvement District (CVBID) Advisory Board recommends allocating Year-End Fund Balance (YEFB) funds to support a series of signature events for the upcoming fiscal year starting July 1, 2026, designed to attract visitors, increase economic activity, and Vista’s visibility as a destination.

Event Organizer Event Name Event Date Amount
Discover Vista Rod Run September 6, 2026 $25,000
Discover Vista Fright Night October 30, 2026 $25,000
Discover Vista Cowboy Christmas December 18, 2026 $10,000 SoCal Music and Arts Kpop Anime Fest TBD $10,000
SDS Events USA San Diego Beer Week Kickoff TBD $10,000
TBD Día de los Muertos TBD $10,000
We believe that these events directly support and boost spending at local businesses, which align with the CVBID goals. These events activate public spaces, support local vendors, and enhance the quality of life for residents.

It is important to highlight that implementing the funding of these signature events is a strategic investment that supports local businesses, tourism, and Vista community vitality.

Sincerely,
TJ Crossman
