STATEMENT ON THE SUBJECT: The City Council has established a variety of Commissions, Committees, and Boards to discuss topics and provide recommendations to the City Council. Those items that are not already scheduled to come before the City Council are presented in a Commission Recommendations agenda report. This report is simply to receive the recommendations; no action is taken on the recommendation. If a City Council member wishes to discuss a recommendation, they will inform the City Manager that they would like the item to be put on a future agenda for discussion.
Senior Citizen Affairs Commission Recommendation
On May 20, 2026, the Senior Citizen Affairs Commission voted unanimously to recommend that the City Council ask North County Transit District (NCTD) to reinstate discounted fares on NCTD+ for seniors, disabled, and military.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.
