IOR PUBLIC ARTS COMMISSION ACTION: On August 12, 2026, Public Arts Commission approved the Vista in Bloom Utility Box Painting application submitted by Marie K. Lim (Vote: 5-0; Summit and Jobe absent).

TATEMENT ON THE SUBJECT: The Vista in Bloom Utility Box Painting Program commenced in 2004 to beautify the city, reduce graffiti, stimulate public interest in art and artists, engage and educate visitors about the city’s public art program, and provide a venue for artists to promote their work.
The
Public Arts Commission reviewed and approved the application submitted by Marie K. Lim for the utility box located on the southeast corner of S. Melrose Drive and Oak Ridge Way. Marie K. Lim’s application is included in Exhibit 2.

SCAL IMPACT: Sufficient funds exist in the f iscal year 202 6/27 o perating budget (account 0010500.521030.PARTS) to issue an honorarium of $350 to the artist.
