This is in regards to an item not on the agenda.
These are a few things that have been brought up to us since Wasco PD took over.
Why are vehicles towed within the City of Wasco going to Shafter? Residents call our business and personal phones day and night asking us this question.
We tell them to complain to the city. Most are too scared to complain.
When a car is towed, most of the time it is their only vehicle. They have to walk to get release then to tow yard for vehicle. They are asking how they are supposed to get to Shafter when they have to walk.
There are several times we have driven people to get release and back to our yard to get vehicle.
We towed for KCSO in the city of Wasco since 1993. We never missed or turned down a call.
Why were Shafter companies asked if they wanted to be on rotation in Wasco when they don’t occupy a yard in the city limits? We would not be able to get on any other cities rotation list for that exact reason.
The city website says your focus is building strong partnerships within the community. How are you doing that when you are not keeping business in the community?
