Project Funding Status / Schedule
HSIP – Poplar Ave HAWK System HSIP
HAWK pedestrian signal at Poplar Ave & HWY 46. Pole delivery has been delayed — City is working with the Contractor/Supplier to determine new expected delivery and installation dates.
HSIP – 8th Street Crosswalk Enhancements HSIP
Rectangular flashing beacons (RRFB) and poles at 8th St & HWY 43. Pole delivery has been delayed — City is working with the Contractor/Supplier to determine new expected delivery and installation dates.
Beckes Road Rehabilitation (5th St – HWY 46) TBD Bid opening took place 7/2/26. Expected Council award 7/21/26. Construction expected to start mid-August.
REAP 2.0 – Alley Reconstructions REAP 2.0 Alley reconstructions in the Filburn Ave / 16th St area. Bid opening took place 7/2/26. Expected Council award 7/21/26. Construction expected to start mid-August.
Filburn Ave Shoulder – Central Ave to Palm Ave CMAQ Staff received Caltrans funding authorization 7/3/26. Bid package currently being assembled.
Advertisement expected shortly.
Filburn Ave Shoulder – Griffith St to G St CMAQ Staff received Caltrans funding authorization 7/3/26. Bid package currently being assembled.

Filburn Ave Road Rehabilitation (Central Ave –
G St) RSTP Bid package being prepared in coordination with Filburn Ave CMAQ shoulder projects for concurrent advertisement.
Central Ave ATP Bike Lane Project ATP Landscaping, sidewalks, bike lanes, and roadway improvements from Poso Ave to Flower St.
Design 95% complete pending landscape revisions. Expected construction start September.
G Street Lighting (6th St – Filburn Ave)
Local Funds All but 3 lights have been stood by City Crews. All lights expected to be standing by end of this week. Electrical tie-ins (wire pull) expected to begin July 20th.
NE Zone Pavement Maintenance
(Fiberized Slurry Seal) SB1 Fiberized slurry seal of various roads within the NE Zone, bounded by 5th St to HWY 46 (N/S) and Griffith Ave to HWY 43 (E/W). Currently out to bid — bid opening July 7, 2026.
Citywide Striping Project Local Funds Re-striping of centerlines, bike lanes, fog lines and turn lanes citywide. Currently out to bid — bid opening July 7, 2026.
