RESOLUTION: Adopting Resolution 2025-04, Approving Community Center Rental Fee Changes
SUMMARY:

Approving Resolution 2025-04, adopting the new rental fee schedule for the newly renovated Community Center, located at 540 C St. adjacent to Beard Park.

FISCAL IMPACT:

The fee increases for rentals will help to offset maintenance & upkeep costs that have been subsidized by the General Fund. Deposits are proposed to be lowered considering that approximately 98% of the deposits are returned in full.

ANALYSIS:

Major renovations have been done to the Community Center and the proposed fee changes are based on a recent study of comparable facilities in Riverbank, Hughson, Ceres, Oakdale and Turlock. In summary, the other facilities have an average occupancy of 300 (Waterford is 200), and a rental fee average of $1225.00 for weekend rentals (Waterford is charging $450 and proposing $750). Some of the facilities are old, while others are much newer. Staff feel this analysis is sufficient to adjust the fees as proposed.
