Bruce Sawhill
Dear City Council Members and Chair;
I have worked in aviation for the last twenty years, particularly in what is now called "Regional Air Mobility"(RAM) or "Advanced Air Mobility" (AAM) .

Both of these concepts are emerging because of technological advances in electric aircraft, batteries, airframes, and controls. A lot of the aviation future will be smaller and quieter and cleaner. RAM and AAM include eVTOLs like Joby's aircraft, but will primarily be eCTOLs (electric conventional take off and landing aircraft that use runways) The end result is that commercial aviation between many of the nation's currently unserved 5,000 GA airports will become economically viable.

This would make KWVI (and others like it) into transportation hubs for short to medium distance aviation (50-500 miles), generating revenue and associated business activity coming from increased connectivity.

Because of this, it is important to keep KWVI's functionality intact! A new aviation future is imminent.

Regards,
Bruce Sawhill, PhD
