1. ROLL CALL
Mayor Orozco and Member Dutra were present. Mayor Pro Tempore Salcido, Members Clark, Montesino, Parker, and Quiroz-Carter were absent.
Staff members present were City Manager Vides, City Clerk Ortiz, Police Chief Zamora, Fire Chief Lopez, Administrative Services Director Duran, Interim Community Development Director Meek, IT Director Gill, Airport Director Williams, Deputy City Manager Manning, Interim Assistant Community Development Director Orbach, Housing Manger Landaverry, Administrative Analyst Ortiz, Administrative Analyst Murillo, Police Officer Alvarez, Police Sergeant Uretsky, Public Information Officer Pulido, Multimedia & Communications Analyst Vasquez, and Deputy City Clerk Pacheco.
Also present were California State Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas (29th District), Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren (18th District), Santa Cruz County 4th District Supervisor Felipe Hernandez, Congresswoman Lofgren’s Deputy District Chief of Staff Christian MoraCastrellon, Senator John Laird (17th District) representative Marisa Hernandez, Senator Adam Schiff representative Edwin Sevilla, and JEA & Associates President John Arriaga.

Presentations by City Staff and the City’s Local Legislators Regarding Pending & Recent State & Federal Legislative Matters
Staff gave presentations regarding the following subjects:
Community Resilience/ Housing – Housing Manager Landaverry and Interim Assistant Community Development Director Orbach

Edwin Sevilla, representative of Senator Schiff, spoke about collaborating with the City to address priorities.
Congresswoman Lofgren spoke about the current state of the budget, topics being discussed in Washington D.C., and concerns due to decisions made by the current Presidential Administration.
Assembly Speaker Rivas spoke about the importance of supporting each other, providing aid to those in need, and continuing those efforts despite uncertainty from the current Presidential Administration.
Supervisor Hernandez provided an update on various County projects and other efforts.
