Meeting Minutes
1. By Resolution, Calling and giving notice of a general municipal election to be held on November 8, 2022 and requesting consolidation of the election with the statewide election.
2. By Resolution, Appoint representatives and alternate to the S.C.O.R.E Board. City Clerk presented items 1 and 2. Council Members questions were asked and answered. 3 . By Motion, consider acceptance of the 2021 General Plan Annual Progress Report, approved by the Planning Commission on February 16, 2022. Contract Planner McKinley presented item 3, no questions from Council Members.
4. Minutes - By Motion approve City Council Minutes for Special Meeting, Work Session, and Regular Meeting Minutes from 2/10/2022.
5. Financial Report(s). - By Motion approve payment warrants dated from 2/10/2022 through 02/28/22 including any voided warrants totaling $406,204.23.
City Clerk presented items 4 and 5, no questions from Council Members.
6. Discussion Item only – Sanitation Services RFP options, give possible direction to staff. City Manager presented PowerPoint to discuss two options for an RFP. Council Members questions were asked and answered.
7. Discussion Item only – Discussion of dedicated ¼ cent sales tax, give possible direction to staff. City Manager presented item 7. No discussion.
8. TOT GAP Funding Request – By Motion, consider request for Transient Occupancy Tax GAP Funding for Winema Cemetery for January through June 2022.
9. Ordinance - By Motion, hold introduction and first reading, by title only, of Ordinance No. 467-2022 regarding the licensing of Short-Term Rentals. City Clerk presented items 8 and 9. Council Members questions were asked and answered.
10. Ordinance – By Motion, hold introduction and first reading, by title only, of Ordinance No. 468-2022 Adopting a Policy for the use of Military Equipment by the Weed Police Department. Police Chief Mayberry presented item 10. Council Members questions were asked and answered.
11. SB2 Planning Grant RFP – By Motion, Council will consider approval of Proposal for the SB2 Planning Grant for 6th Cycle 2023-2031 Housing Element. Item 11 was requested to be pulled from the agenda as no proposals were received.
