CITY OF WEED CITY COUNCIL
SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 6, 2022
The City Council of the City of Weed held a regular meeting on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 9:06 a.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Mayor Kim Greene called the meeting to order and led recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. Present, in addition to Mayor Greene, were Council Members Ken Palfini, and Susan Tavalero. Also present were City Manager Tim Rundel, Police Chief Justin Mayberry, Public Works Director Craig Sharp, and City Clerk Sandra Duchi.
Council Member Palfini moved to excuse Council Member Green, and Council Member Hall from the meeting. Council Member Tavalero seconded the motion and the vote was:
AYES: Council Member Greene, Palfini, and Tavalero
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Green, and Hall
III. NON-AGENDA PUBLIC COMMENT
There was none.
IV. AGENDA
A. Local Emergency due to Wildfire: City Council will adopt Resolution 19-2022, Proclaiming A Local Emergency, Ratifying the Disaster Council’s Proclamation of a Local Emergency in The City of Weed, and Requesting the Governor to Proclaim A State of Emergency For The City Of Weed. Council Tavalero moved to adopt Resolution No. 19-2022. Council Member Palfini moved to second the motion and the votes was:
AYES: Council Member Greene, Palfini, and Tavalero
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Green, and Hall
