Notice is hereby given:
The City Council will conduct a Work Session at City Hall 550 Main Street, Weed, CA 96094 on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 4:30 pm. Tentative topics include:
Proclamation Honoring Michael Kelly McKinnis’ dedication and service to the City of Weed First 5 Proclamation 15th Annual Read Across Siskiyou Event November 9, 2022 Presentation/Update by Quintin Gaddy, Kory Hayden, and, Heather Dodds of the Siskiyou Economic Development Council.
PUBLIC HEARING Administrative Services – Financial Management for Water and Sewer Enterprises:
Rate Changes instituted pursuant to Article XIIID of the California Constitution – Assessment and Property Related Fee Reform -- (aka Proposition 218). All interested persons will be permitted to present oral and written testimony with respect to the proposed rates and methodology.
By Motion, adopt Resolution No. 21-2022 with proposed changes to become effective November 1, 2022.
By Motion - adopt Resolution No. 22-2022 Authorizing City Manager to execute documents related to the Department of Water Resource North Coast Resource Partnership Prop 1 IRWM Round 2 Implementation Project Grant.
By Motion - adopt Resolution No. 23-2022 Amending Spending Plan – COPS Funding.
By Motion - adopt Resolution No. 24-2022 Allowing Approval of the VFC Grant with CalFire By Motion - adopt Resolution No. 25-2022 Authorizing and Adopting the Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) Formula Allocation Plan.
By Motion - approve City Council Minutes for Special Meeting, Work Session, and Regular Meeting Minutes from 9/15 /2022.
Financial Report(s) – By Motion approve payment warrants dated from 09/22/2022 through 10/7/2022 including any voided warrants totaling $513,404.27.
Finance/Month End – by Motion approve and file month end finance reports for the month(s) of September 2022.
Refuse Service – By Motion, approve staff to enter into Contract Negotiations and Contract Agreement for the Collection of Solid Waste within the City, with a suggested start date of December 1, 2022.
