CITY OF WEED CITY COUNCIL
SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
March 9, 2023
The City Council of the City of Weed held a special meeting on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at 10:00 am in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Mayor Ken Palfini called the meeting to order and led recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. Present, in addition to Mayor Palfini, were Council Members Bob Hall, Mark Mazzoni, and Susan Tavalero. Also present were City Manager Tim Rundel, Chief of Police Justin Mayberry, Director of Public Works Craig Sharp, Public Works Supervisor Chris Davis, Fire Chief Steve Duncan, Finance Director Anna Guzman, and City Clerk Sandra Duchi. Council Member Darrell Parham was absent at roll call, arrived at 10:29 am.
III PUBLIC COMMENT
There was none.
IV. AGENDA
City Manager Rundel opened the special meeting. Discussed the budget process and what to expect. Due to weather conditions the facilities tour posted on the agenda was cancelled. Fire, Police, Public Works, City Clerk (Administration), and Finance presented power points discussing their departments and future needs. There was a lunch break at 12:00pm to 1:00 pm and break at 2:20 pm to 2:30 pm. Council Members questions were asked and answered.
Council Member Hall moved to adjourn the special meeting at 3:10 pm. Council Member Tavalero seconded the motion, and the vote was:
AYES: Council Member Hall, Mazzoni, Palfini, Parham, and Tavalero NOES: None
