Council Work Session Minutes
November 9, 2023
The City Council held a Work Session at City Hall 550 Main Street, Weed, CA 96094 on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 5:00 pm. Topics of discussion were as follows.
Dan Baker, Pacific Power will provide an update on the Underground Utility District No. 7, (Lincoln Heights).
Administration – By Motion – hold a second reading, by title only and adopt Ordinance No. 471- 2023 updating WMC 3.04 Purchasing.
Public Works – By Motion – Approve Resolution No. 19-2023 Recognizing National Arbor Day within the City of Weed.
Public Works – By Motion – Approve Resolution No. 20-2023 approving the task order with PACE for additional engineering services for the E. Lincoln Heights Drainage Infrastructure Replacement Project.
By Motion - Approve City Council Minutes for Work Session, and Regular Meeting Minutes from 10/12/2023.
By Motion - Approve payment warrants dated 10-11-2023 through 10-31-2023 including any voided warrants totaling $1,030,047.51.
By Motion – Approve and file month end report for October 2023.
Fire – by Motion – the Council will consider approval of Resolution No. 21-2023 Adopting Budget Adjustments for FY 23/24 for the Fire Department.
Fire – by Motion – the Council will consider approval of Resolution No. 22-2023 Adopting Budget Adjustments for FY 23/24 for the Fire Department SAFER Grant.
Measure O Committee– by Motion – the Council will consider the recommendations to amend the contract for the Weed Recreation and Parks District allocation(s) for 23/24 FY and 24/25 FY.
Discussion Only - The Council will receive a presentation on the City’s legal authority and options for pursuing code enforcement.
All items were discussed in an open forum. No actions are taken at the work session meetings. __________________________________
