Notice of Open Meeting: March 11, 2024
Notice is hereby given:
The City Council will conduct a Work Session at City Hall 550 Main Street, Weed, CA 96094 on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 5:00 pm. Tentative topics include:
Proclamation recognizing the 100 Year Anniversary of the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America Weed Lodge #1269.
Proclamation recognizing April as Child Abuse Prevention Month and Week of the Young Child.
Human Resources – By Motion –Council will consider the second reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 473-2024 authorizing an amendment to the contract between the City and the Board of Administration of the California Public Employees’ Retirement System.
Election, By Motion – Council will consider Resolution 10-2024 Calling and giving notice of a general municipal election to be held on November 5, 2024, and requesting consolidation of the election with the statewide election.
By Motion - Approve City Council Minutes for Work Session, and Regular Meeting Minutes from 2/8/2024.
By Motion - Approve payment warrants dated 02/08/2024 through 03/06/2024 including any voided warrants totaling $491,688.24.
By Motion – Approve and file month end report for February 2024.
Public Safety, Event Encroachment Permit - by Motion –Council will consider approval of encroachment permit for April 19, 2024, and April 20, 2024, closure of Main Street from 0900 to 2100 hours for the 4&20 Event, and waivers of WMC 9.16.010 and 9.16.030 for outside sale and consumption of alcohol within the event boundaries only.
