SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 18, 2024
The City Council of the City of Weed held a special meeting on Wednesday September 18, 2024, at 3:14pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Mayor Darrell Parham called the meeting to order and led recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. Present, in addition to Mayor Parham, were Council Members Bob Hall, Mark Mazzoni, and Susan Tavalero. Also present were Interim City Manager Steve Baker, City Clerk Sandra Duchi, and Finance Director Jill Porterfield. Council Member Palfini was absent from roll call but arrived at 3:17pm.

There was none.
AGENDA
A. Council conducted an interview of Peckham & McKenney regarding recruitment services.
Interim City Manager presented the staff report. Carl Cahill presented a timeline of recruitment. Council Members’ questions were asked and answered.
B. By Motion – Council considered entering into a contract with Peckham & McKenney for recruitment services. Council Member Tavalero moved to approve the Interim City Manager entering into contract with Peckham & McKenney for the recruitment of a city manager.
Council Member Palfini seconded the motion and the vote was:
AYES: Council Member Hall, Mazzoni, Palfini, Parham, and Tavalero NOES: None
ABSENT: None
Council Member Tavalero moved to adjourn the special meeting. Council Member Mazzoni seconded the motion, and the vote was:
AYES: Council Member Hall, Mazzoni, Palfini, Parham, and Tavalero NOES: None
