SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
MARCH 3, 2025
The City Council of the City of Weed held a special meeting on Monday March 3, 2025, at 5:15pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Mayor Darrell Parham called the meeting to order and led recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. Present, in addition to Mayor Parham, were Council Members Mark Mazzoni, Ken Palfini, and Phet Virasonh. Also present were Police Chief/Acting City Manager Justin Mayberry, City Clerk Sandra Duchi, and Finance Director Jill Porterfield.
Council Member Mazzoni moved to excuse Council Member Whetstine. Council Member Virasonh seconded the motion, and the vote was:
AYES: Council Member Mazzoni, Palfini, Parham, and Virasonh NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Whetstine

There was none.
ADJOURN TO CLOSED SESSION
Mayor Parham moved to adjourn to closed session at 5:20 pm. Council Member Mazzoni seconded the motion and the vote was:
AYES: Council Member Mazzoni, Palfini, Parham, and Virasonh NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Whetstine

Mayor Parham moved to adjourn the closed session at 6:01pm. Council member Mazzoni seconded the motion and the vote was:

TOWN HALL WORKSHOP (6pm to 8pm)
A. MAIN STREET REVITALIZATION (Facilitated by the Siskiyou County Economic Development Council) This town hall workshop will be an open forum for discussion regarding the revitalization of Main Street.
Participants are encouraged to share their perspectives on the subject, however, please note this meeting is for information gathering only and no formal votes will be taken.
Kory Hayden from the Siskiyou County Economic Development Council facilitated a town hall meeting regarding revitalization of Main Street. Property and business owners in attendance participated. No action was taken by the council as stated in the agenda.
