COUNCIL/SUCCESSOR AGENCY REGULAR SESSION MEETING

Carried 5-0 to: approve the October 18, 2022 Regular Session Meeting Minutes.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
2) CONSIDERATION OF NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR SEWER MAIN
REPLACEMENT - PORTION OF AZUSA AVENUE & CITRUS STREET
PROJECT NO. 21011 & 21012
Carried 5-0 to: take the following actions:
1. Accept the work performed by GRBCON, Inc. for the Sewer Main Replacement - Portion of Azusa Avenue & Citrus Street project (Projects Nos. 21011 & 21012), with a final contract amount of $219,994.40; and
2. Authorize the recordation of Notice of Completion with the Los Angeles County Recorder and the release of retention funds 35 days thereafter.

3) CONSIDERATION OF NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF FRIENDSHIP PARK IMPROVEMENTS - PROJECT NO. 21035
Carried 5-0 to: take the following actions:Accept the work performed by Jaynes Brothers Construction, Inc. for the Friendship Park Improvements project (Project No. 21035), with a final contract amount of $231,792.58; and;
1. Authorize the recordation of Notice of Completion with the Los Angeles County Recorder and the release of retention funds 35 days thereafter.

2021 INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE; AND MAKING AMENDMENTS THERETO 6) CONSIDERATION OF CAL OES HIGH FREQUENCY GRANT SUBAWARD Carried 5-0 to: take the following actions
1. Accept and appropriate the reimbursable California Governor's Office of Emergency Services ("Cal OES") High Frequency Communications Equipment Grant Program grant totaling $60,000.00 in expenditures and revenues; and
2. Authorize the City Manager to enter into a Grant Subaward with Cal OES on behalf of the City and to execute all documents required in connection with the grant, in a form approved by the City Attorney; and
3. Adopt the attached resolution authorizing the necessary budget amendment:

CITY COUNCIL REQUESTS FOR REPORTS, STUDIES OR INVESTIGATION Councilwoman Lopez-Viado has requested that the Code Enforcement Division hold a presentation providing an update on their work.
Councilman Wu has asked that staff provide a calendar of upcoming city events.
CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS
Mayor and Council praised the success of the recent "Festival of Frights" put on by the city.

ADJOURNMENT
A motion to adjourn the Regular Meeting was made by Mayor Castellanos, and the meeting was adjourned at 8:55 p.m. The next regularly scheduled Regular City Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday November 15, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 1444 West Garvey Avenue South, West Covina, California.
