With this direction, City staff from Public Safety and Engineering began an inventory of all existing street sweeping signs to verify that all streets have the appropriate signage, that signs are placed in a manner that adequately informs residents and visitors of parking restrictions, to identify highdensity residential areas, and to evaluate unique street conditions that may warrant an alternating side street sweeping schedule or other signage improvements.

In addition to responding to the 198 concerns brought to the City staff additionally drove every street of the City to confirm if further improvements could be made such as:
Compilation of signage onto single posts and streetlights to preserve neighborhood aesthetics Installation of additional signage to improve awareness for residents Relocation of signage between property lines to minimize impact to residents Field review resulted in recommendation to install additional 1,227 signs Original installation aimed to minimize the number of signs to be enforceable; however, from resident feedback additional signage is recommended in some neighborhoods to ensure residents and guests are aware of the restrictions
This number does not include signs that would benefit from being relocated to single posts or street lights as well as signs to be removed in front of school zones or other unique locations

The City of West Covina launched its weekly street
sweeping program on January 6, 2025, covering all
streets. The updated schedule is now available in an
interactive map format on our website under the
"West Covina Resource Maps" section. This effort
aims to maintain cleanliness and improve public
safety citywide.
West Covina Municipal Code Section 22-193
Prohibits parking any vehicle on any street or alley or portion thereof during the days and times designated for street sweeping. Allows parking on restricted portions of streets or alleys once the street sweeper has passed.
PARKING RESTRICTIONS WILL BE ENFORCED WITHIN 30 DAYS
