CALL TO ORDER - CLOSED SESSION
The Whittier City Council met in Closed Session on July 11, 2022. Mayor Vinatieri called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. in the Admin Committee Room of Whittier City HaIl, 13230 Penn Street, Whittier, California.

4. CALL TO ORDER - REGULAR SESSION
Mayor Vinatieri, consistent with mandates of Assembly Bill 361 and local adopted policies, called the Regular Session to order at 4:39 p.m. in the Admin Committee Room of Whittier City Hall, 13230 Penn Street, Whittier, CA 90602.

9. STAFF REPORTS
9.A. Board and Commission Interviews and Appointments
Recommendation: 1) Interview selected Historic Resources Commission, Social Services Commission, Puente Hills Habitat Preservation Authority Citizens Technical Advisory Committee, Board of Library Trustees, and Art in Public Places Advisory Committee applicants;
2) Appoint two members to the Historic Resources Commission; 3) Appoint three members to the Social Services Commission; 4) Appoint one member to the Puente Hills Habitat Preservation Authority Citizens Technical Advisory Committee;
5) Appoint two members to the Board of Library Trustees; and 6) Appoint two members to the Art in Public Places Advisory Committee.
The City Council interviewed the following individuals and deliberated on appointments:
1) Historic Resources Commission: Anthony J. Avila
2) Social Services Commission: James Ortiz, Irene Muro, and Benito Guerrero Jr.
3) Puente Hills Habitat Preservation Authority Citizens Technical Advisory Committee (CTAC): Jeff Brackmann and Janis Cavanaugh
4) Board of Library Trustees: John Gomez
5) Art in Public Places Advisory Committee: Roberto Chavez
CONSENSUS
By consensus, the City Council appointed the following individuals to board and commission vacancies:
Social Services Commission
1) James Ortiz
2) Irene Muro
3) Benito Guerrero Jr.

CONSENSUS
By consensus, the City Council directed staff to conduct a recruitment for the Historic Resources Commission and the Art in Public Places Advisory Committee.
