1. CALL TO ORDER - REGULAR SESSION
The Whittier City Council met in Special Session on May 27, 2025. Mayor Vinatieri called the meeting to order at 5:05 p.m. in the Admin Committee Room of Whittier City Hall, 13230 Penn Street, Whittier, California.

5.A. Board and Commission Interviews and Appointments - Design Review Board and Historic Resources Commission
Recommendation: Interview, appoint, or provide an alternative for a vacancy on the Design Review Board with a term ending on July 1, 2027 and a vacancy on the Historic Resources Commission with a term ending on July 1, 2029.
The City Council interviewed the following individuals and deliberated on appointments:
1. Jacob Wetrosky
2. Erik Bottema
3. Nikomi Arroyo
4. Andrew Rodriguez

MOTION
Council Member Dutra moved and Mayor Pro Tem Martinez seconded a motion to appoint Erik Bottema to the Design Review Board for a two-term. The question was called, and the motion carried unanimously.
MOTION
Council Member Dutra moved and Mayor Pro Tem Martinez seconded a motion to appoint Andrew Rodriguez to the Historic Resources Commission for a full term. The question was called and the motion carried 4-0-1, with Council Member Pacheco abstaining.
6. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Vinatieri adjourned the meeting at 5:50 p.m.
