MINUTES
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2024
Mayor Stranske called a special meeting of the City Council to order at 6:30 p.m., in Council Chambers.
Roll Call: Councilmembers Tom Allman, Gerardo Gonzales, Vice Mayor Matthew Alaniz and Mayor Larry Stranske were present.
Also present were staff members Brian Bender, City Manager, and Cathy Moorhead, Assistant City Manager, and Delores Pedersen, Citty Clerk.
2. PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS
A. oN on and Possible Action to Adopt a Resolution Setting Forth the Process and Schedule for Filling the Vacant Council Seat Held by Former Council Member Greta Kanne.
Public Comment:
Bear Kamoroff inquired if the notice and application would be ready to run in the Willits Weekly this week as the newspaper will be going on winter break. This week's edition is the last for the year and possibly until February.
City Manager Bender responded that staff had already prepared the notice in advance and would submit today for this week's edition as long as Council approves.
Moved by Gonzalez/Seconded by Alaniz and carried unanimously 4/0 to adopt Resolution No. 2024-71 adopting a process for filling of vacancy on the City Council by appointment.
Mayor Stranske declared the special meeting adjourned at 6:43 p.m.
