AGENDA SUMMARY REPORT
To: Honorable Mayor and Council Members
From: Connor Stack, City Planner
Agenda Title: ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE WILLITS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FIRST FRIDAYS SUMMER CONCERT SERIES WITH EVENTS MAY 1ST, JUNE 5th , AUGUST 7th, AND SEPTEMBER 4TH .

Type: Presentation Consent Regular Agenda Public Hearing Urgent Time: 30 minutes.

Summary: The Willits Chamber of Commerce is planning a series of city-approved events taking place from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on May 1st, June 5th, August 7th, and September 4th. During these events, East Commercial Street— between Main Street and Humboldt Street—will be temporarily closed to allow space for vendors, live music, and community activities.

Additional event space will include the adjacent alley and parking lot, which are visible from Main Street, creating an expanded area for the public to enjoy.

All detour signage will be removed by 9:30 PM each evening. To ensure emergency access, temporary no-parking zones will be established along the main route.

The primary detour route will be similar to the one used during the annual car show, with traffic redirected onto State Street around Bud Snider Park to bypass the closure at Main and East Commercial Street.
