JOINT SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL/WOODLAND FINANCE AUTHORITY MEETING 6:00 PM
A. CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 05:59 PM.

Council Members Present: Members Fernandez, Garcia-Cadena, Stallard, Vega and Mayor Lansburgh

C. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Pledge of Allegiance led by Council Member Fernandez.
Land Acknowledgment Statement - The City of Woodland acknowledges the land on which we live and work.
For thousands of years, this land has been the home of Patwin people. Today, there are three federally recognized Patwin tribes: Cachil DeHe Band of Wintun Indians of the Colusa Indian Community, Kletsel Dehe Wintun Nation, and Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation. The Patwin people have remained committed to the stewardship of this land over many centuries. It has been cherished and protected, as elders have instructed the young through generations. We are honored and grateful to be here today on their traditional lands.
D. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS
1. SUBJECT: Declaration of Results of the November 5, 2024 Consolidated General Municipal Election
RECOMMENDATION FOR ACTION: Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. _____, declaring the official results of the General Municipal Election held on November 5, 2024 and the final Certificates of Canvass related to the election of three (3) members of the City Council for Council Districts 2 (Stallard), 4 (Moreno) and 5 (Vega) with terms expiring upon the election of their successor thereto at the Presidential General Election of 2028, and related to Measure U.
City Clerk Sarah Lansburgh presented the item.
Mayor Lansburgh invited public comment. No public comment was received.
On a motion by Council Member Garcia-Cadena, seconded by Council Member Fernandez and carried on a 5-0 vote, Council Members adopted RESOLUTION NO. 8419, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WOODLAND RECITING THE FACT OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 5, 2024; DECLARING THE RESULTS AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY LAW.

2. SUBJECT: Comments by Outgoing Official
RECOMMENDATION FOR ACTION: Comments by Council Member

3. SUBJECT: Swearing-In Ceremony and Seating of Newly Elected Officials
RECOMMENDATION FOR ACTION: The City Clerk will administer the Oath of Office and present Certificates of Election to Council Member Stallard, Council Member David Moreno and Council Member Mayra Vega.
4. SUBJECT: Comments by Newly Elected Officials and Mayor
RECOMMENDATION FOR ACTION: Comments by Counci Member Stallard, Council Member Moreno, Council Member Vega and Mayor Lansburgh.
