TOWN COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES January 6, 2023
Independence Hall, 2955 Woodside Road, Woodside 12:00 p.m.
The meeting was held as a hybrid meeting with the option to attend by teleconference/video conference or in person, in compliance with Town of Woodside Resolution No. 2022-7534.
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Shaw called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m.

Present: Councilmembers Brown, Fluet, Goeld, Wall (arrived at 12:02 PM), and Mayor Shaw
Absent: Councilmember Dombkowski

Mayor Shaw led the Pledge of Allegiance.
COMMUNICATIONS
There was no public comment.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Resolution Ratifying the Town Manager's Proclaiming of a Local Emergency Related to the Severe Wind and Rainstorms that Commenced on December 31, 2022.
Ms. Savaree presented the staff report.
The Council's questions included: post-storm clean up and repair; additional chipping support from the Woodside Fire Protection District; proactive communication methods regarding responsibility for maintenance and who to direct questions to.
In response to Council's questions, Mr. Bryant stated: during breaks in weather, the Town is doing as much preparation as possible for the next storm, including substantial infrastructure improvements; multiple contractors are working around Town; part of post-storm clean up and assessment will include looking at changes to the Capital Improvement Program; there are at least two culverts that are being replaced; chipper crews are currently helping with debris removal; last fall, the Town sent a mailer informing homeowners that creek maintenance is their responsibility; the Town is responsible for inlets, bridges, and places where debris can collect; there is a Severe Weather Emergency banner on the Town website with pertinent information.
Councilmember Brown moved approval of the Item 1.
