CALL TO ORDER
The City Council/Successor Agency to the Yorba Linda Redevelopment Agency convened at 4:32 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 4845 Casa Loma Avenue.

AGENDA ITEM
1. AERA ENERGY PROJECT PRESENTATION
George L. Basye, Aera Energy representative, provided a PowerPoint presentation on the Brea 265 Project. He discussed oil operations and shared an aerial video of the site's existing conditions. Planning principles for the project include homes for the local workforce, enhancing the environment, improving connectivity, and elevating the quality of life. The project consists of 265 acres of which there is a proposal for 120 acres of parks & open space (62 acres onsite, 58 acres offsite), 5 miles of trails, a 13-acre expansion of Brea Sports Park, and 1,100 homes at various price points and 76 affordable homes. Mr. Basye spoke of the phasing plan for the project, a 1-acre site for a potential police substation and/or fire facilities, and outreach efforts.
A conversation ensued among Council and the representative regarding the location of the affordable housing, single-family lot sizes, senior living, phasing and street improvements.

Councilwoman Peggy Huang adjourned the meeting at 5:06 p.m. to the next City Council/Successor Agency to the Yorba Linda Redevelopment Agency Joint meeting on June 7, 2022.
