PUBLIC COMMENTS – ITEMS ON THE CONSENT CALENDAR OR ITEMS NOT ON THE REMAINDER OF THE AGENDA Tom Castanzo, resident, expressed concerns regarding the LMAD Proposition 218 vote on the east side. He stated that issues in the area often go unaddressed and questioned the accuracy of staff’s explanation that votes are weighted based on property size. He also expressed concern that a 100% increase in the assessment is excessive given the ongoing maintenance issues on the east side and said he believes residents were misled.
Pat Nelson, resident, noted that the west side also has issues that sometimes go unaddressed. Regarding Consent Calendar Item No. 8, she stated that the proposed demolition is long overdue but expressed concerns about the project’s ingress and egress and turning lane.
