A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE
APPROVING THE PLACEMENT OF A MEMORIAL TREE AND PLAQUE DEDICATED TO MILJENKO “MIKE” GRGICH IN YOUNTVILLE COMMUNITY PARK AS PART OF THE TOWN’S DEDICATION AND MEMORIAL PROGRAM.

A. The Town of Yountville offers a Dedication/Memorial Program.
B. The program offers a systematic and consistent approach for naming parks, facilities, and for memorials like benches, trees, or plaques located in parks and recreation facilities.
C. The Program is offered as a way to encourage donations and dedications by individuals or groups and honor those who have made an impact in our community.
D. Staff has received and reviewed the application from Heidi Kuhn, Founder of Roots of Peace, and found it to be complete and has met the criteria established in the policy.
E. The applicant will work with staff to find the appropriate type of tree and location in the park and will be financially responsible for the costs associated with the purchase.
Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of Yountville does resolve as follows:
1. Adopt Resolution Number 24-4248 approving placement of a memorial tree dedicated to Miljenko “Mike” Grgich in Yountville Community Park as part of the Towns Dedication and Memorial Program.
2. This Resolution is hereby adopted and becomes effective and in full force immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Yountville, State of California, held on this 6th day of February 2024 by the following vote:
