A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT TO ACCEPT THE GIFT OF THE SCULPTURE TITLED “THE FUTURE OF THE WORLD IS IN OUR HANDS” BY ARTIST DON OORE
___________________________________________________________________________ Recitals
A. The Yountville Arts Commission accepted the sculpture titled “The Future of the World is in Our Hands” onto the Art Walk in 2011 where it was installed in Yountville Community Park.
B. The Artist, Don Moore, has offered to gift the Town of Yountville the sculpture titled “The Future of the World is in Our Hands”.
C. The Yountville Arts Commission unanimously approved bringing this offer forward to the Town Council for review and recommended approval at the April 1, 2024 meeting with the goal of having it on permanent placement on the Art Walk in its current location.
Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of Yountville does resolve as follows:
1. Adopt Resolution Number 24-4258 authorizing the Town Manager to enter into an agreement to accept the gift of “The Future of the World is in Our Hands” sculpture by artist Don Moore.
2. This Resolution is hereby adopted and becomes effective and in full force immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Yountville, State of California, held on this 16th day of April, 2024 by the following vote:
