A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE APPROVING THE DEDICATION OF “THE FUTURE OF THE WORLD IS IN OUR HANDS”
SCULPTURE TO JENNIFER KANESHIRO CARVALHO
___________________________________________________________________________ Recitals
A. The Town of Yountville offers a Dedication/Memorial Program.
B. The program offers a systematic and consistent approach for naming parks, facilities and for memorials like benches, trees, or plaques located in parks and recreation facilities.
C. The Program is offered to encourage donations and dedications by individuals or groups and honor those who have made an impact in our community.
D. Staff has received and reviewed the application from a group of Yountville Residents and found it to be complete and has met the criteria established in the policy.
E. The applicant will work with staff to place a dedication plaque near the sculpture located in Yountville Community Park.
F. The Yountville Arts Commission unanimously approved the dedication at the April 1, 2024 meeting.
Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of Yountville does resolve as follows:
1. Adopt Resolution Number 24-4259 approving the dedication of “The Future of the World is in Our Hands” sculpture to Jennifer Kaneshiro Carvalho.
2. This Resolution is hereby adopted and becomes effective and in full force immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Yountville, State of California, held on this 16th day of April, 2024 by the following vote:
