I strongly disagree with the recommendation to make a dog park at the North End of Kaneshiro Field. This is an actively used area for Yountville Little League practice and was recently approved for a PONY Baseball Charter (Protect our Nation’s Youth) who would use this space and generate rental income. Bringing children and sports back into our town will help to re-establish community which is sorely missed since the closing of the Elementary School, Preschool, the Pool with swim lessons, even play structure at Vineyard Park.
Dog parks have many negatives and should not be located in this beloved field.
