Receive Online Budget Demonstration
DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND
The Town uses OpenGov Inc. Budgeting and Planning software to produce its Online Budget. This year, staff have successfully implemented the Town’s first biennial budget with this software, along with implementing an updated look and format to the Online Budget which will make it easier for the public to navigate.
OpenGov software is a powerful tool that continues to help the Town streamline the budgeting process and create the Online Budget, which has become industry standard and highly encouraged by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).
The purpose of this staff informational report and presentation is to demonstrate how Town Council, Town residents, and all other users can access and easily navigate the Town’s Biennial Fiscal Year 2024/2025 & Fiscal Year 2025/2026 Online Budget.
