A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE A USER AGREEMENT WITH DONAVAN’S WELLNESS SOLUTIONS LLC FOR OPERATION OF A PUBLIC FITNESS
GYM AT THE YOUNTVILLE COMMONS SITE
__________________________________________________________________________ Recitals
A. There has been a desire from the residents of Yountville to have a local fitness gym and wellness center located in town including it being listed as a goal in the 2023 Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
B. The Town purchased the Yountville Elementary School Property in April 2024 and has conducted public outreach and research on the feasibility of operating a fitness gym and wellness center at the site.
C. After researching potential partners, Donavan’s Wellness LLC was found to be operating a similar facility successfully in Calistoga and DWS worked with Town staff to formulate a model that will serve the current needs of Town residents.
D. The Town has the ability to enter into a Use Agreement for the Yountville Commons property located at 6554 Yount Street APN 036-070-026-000, for uses that are compatible with the existing zoning of Public Facilities of which a public wellness center is deemed.
E. The Term of the agreement shall commence on execution and remain in effect for five years unless extended or terminated by written agreement.
Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of Yountville does resolve as follows:
1. Approve Resolution 24-4294 approving Use Agreement with Donavan’s Wellness LLC for operation of a Yountville Fitness Gym and Wellness Center and authorizing the Town Manager to execute the Agreement.
2. This Resolution is hereby adopted and becomes effective and in full force immediately upon adoption.
