A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE MEASURE-T FISCAL YEAR 2024 PROJECT
TITLED STREET MEASURE-T SOLANO AVENUE PAVEMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT NO. MT-3025 AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR THE PROJECT. ___________________________________________________________________________ Recitals
A. In November 2012, the voters of Napa County approved a ½-cent sales tax known as MeasureT, implemented July 1, 2018, to be used for maintenance, reconstruction, and/or rehabilitation of streets, sidewalks, and transportation infrastructure within the public right-of-way.
B. At the December 5, 2023, Town Council meeting, Council approved the 5 Year Measure-T plan for Fiscal Years 23/24 to 27/28 which includes the rehabilitation of Solano Avenue. The project locations were selected to address streets with a lower pavement condition index rating.
C. This project consists of the rehabilitation of Solano Avenue.
D. The design for this project was prepared by Town staff and Pavement Engineering Inc. (PEI) with the construction plans completed in June 2024.
E. The MT-3025 available budget for this project is $550,000.
F. Staff requests the Town Council approve and adopt the plans and working details and authorize staff to publicly bid the MT-3025, Measure-T Street Rehabilitation at Solano Avenue.
G. This project is categorically exempt under Section 15302(c) Categorically Exempt per California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guideline; Class 2, Replacement or Reconstruction.
Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of Yountville does resolve as follows:
1. Approve and adopt the design and plans for the MT-3025, Street Rehabilitation at Solano Avenue.
2. Authorize the solicitation of bids for the construction of the MT-3025, Street Rehabilitation at Solano Avenue.
3. The Resolution is hereby adopted and becomes effective and in full force immediately upon adoption.
