A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE ADOPTING RESOLUTION NUMBER 24-4302 AUTHORIZING THE PROCUREMENT OF A 2024 ELECTRIC CHEVROLET CREW CAB WITH A NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $80,000 USING CURRENT CIP PROJECT CP-0028 WITH A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT FROM CIP PROJECT WA-0023 AND AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT UP TO THAT AMOUNT.

A. Town Council has identified environmental sustainability as a goal for the Town as an agency, going Yountville Green and the Town’s Capital Improvement Program budget incorporates the Town Council Goals to replace traditional gas-powered vehicles over time with electric vehicles.
B. Public works would like to continue to advance towards the Town Council’s sustainability goals and purchase a 2024 Electric Chevrolet Crew Cab to replace another a gas-powered pickup truck in the fleet.
C. The current unused fund balance in CP-0028 is $67,404. This fund balance will not cover the not to exceed amount of $80,000.00 cost of the 2024 Electric Chevrolet Crew Cab. CIP Project WA0023 realized some savings, leaving money in that budget line item. Staff is preparing a budget transfer of $12,596 from Fund 60 Project WA-0023 to Fund 50 ST-0028 providing an adequate balance to procure a 2024 Electric Chevrolet Crew Cab.
D. Pursuant to Town Municipal Code Chapter 3.32, Article 2 Supplies, General Services and Equipment 3.32.180 Formal Bid Procedure, Public Works staff advertised a notice inviting bids for the procurement of the electric fleet vehicle beginning on 8/29/2024.
E. Staff is requesting authorization to purchase the advertised utility truck from Platinum Chevrolet of Santa Rosa as the lowest responsive and responsible bid under the budgeted amount of $80,000 using current CIP Project CP-0028 with a budget adjustment from CIP Project WA-0023 and Authorizing the Town Manager to Execute the Contract up to that Amount.
Now therefore, the Town Council of the Town of Yountville does resolve as follows:
1. The Town would like to procure a 2024 Electric Chevrolet Crew Cab truck for a not to exceed amount of $80,000 including tax and fees, the monies to purchase are available in Fund 50 with a budget transfer of $12,596 from Fund 60 Project WA-023 to ST-0028.
2. The Town Manager is authorized to sign the contract up to the budget amount.
3. The Resolution is hereby adopted and becomes effective and in full force immediately upon adoption.
