Technical Rescue Team Drill
This rescue drill
simulated a car that
had driven into an
active utility trench
and trapped two
victims. Napa County’s
Rescue team secured
the vehicle, stabilized
the trench to prevent
any further collapse
and rescued the
simulated victims.
Napa County Fire
trains for any and all
incidents to provide
the best service to the
citizens we serve.

9/11 Remembrance Memorial and
New Truck 12 Push In Ceremony
(Above) Station 12 personnel and the public are
pushing the new Truck 12 into the apparatus bay to
signify it is officially in service and available to serve the community. This tradition dates back to when
the fire service had horse-drawn carriages and had
to push the carriage into the barn after every call.

Napa County Fire Personnel attended
a Fundraising event at a local winery
outside Yountville. Personnel assisted
in setting up and flew an American

Safety Messgae
Fireplace Safety
With the weather getting colder, we
would like to remind residents to
utilize safe practices when burning in
their fireplaces.
• Have fireplaces cleaned and inspected
at least annually to prevent chimney
fires
• Never Leave fires burning unattended
• Ensure mesh or glass coverings are in
place to prevent embers from blowing
out of the fireplace into your home
• Ensure vegetation has adequate
clearance above your chimney
