A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE APPROVING
AN UPDATE OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY COMMISSION BYLAWS ARTICLE VI, SECTION A CHANGING THE MEETING START TIME TO 4:00 PM AND
SECTION E UPDATING THE ADJOURNMENT TIMES TO COINCIDE WITH THE NEW START TIME.

A. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission was established in 2008 to serve in an advisory capacity to the Town Council in matters pertaining to the development of parks and recreation facilities, recreation and youth services, senior citizens and human services, library services, grants or other funding, and other matters as may be referred to the Commission by the Town Council or Town Manager.
B. The Commission’s original bylaws set the meeting time to begin at 6:00 PM.
C. The Commission wishes to align with other Town Boards and Commissions and update their meeting time to 4:00 PM to encourage more participation by residents, have less conflicts with other town events usually scheduled after 5:00 PM, and less impact on staff outside of regular business hours.
Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of Yountville does resolve as follows:
1. Approving update of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission Bylaws Article VI, Section A changing the meeting start time to 4:00 PM and Section E updating the adjournment times to coincide with the new start time.
2. This change will go into effect at the May 15, 2025 meeting.
