Interests & Experiences
Do you currently live in Yountville? Yes
Are you a Yountville Business Owner?
Are you registered to vote in Yountville?
Why do you want to serve on this Board, Commission, or Committee? I want to continue serving because I remain committed to protecting the integrity and character of Yountville while helping guide thoughtful, balanced growth. Over my time on the Board, I’ve developed a deeper understanding of the town’s policies, priorities, and planning vision—and I’ve appreciated the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to decisions that shape our built environment. Serving on the ZDRB has strengthened my belief in the value of community input, respectful dialogue, and careful consideration of each project’s impact. I take pride in working collaboratively with staff, applicants, and fellow board members, and I would be honored to continue supporting the Town through consistent, fair, and design-minded service.

What do you perceive is the role of this Board, Commission, or Committee? .

How would you represent the interests of the community? .

What strengths/expertise/special skills would you bring to the Board, Commission, or Committee?
I bring over three decades of experience in residential & commercial design, custom home building, and community-oriented development, with a deep understanding of Yountville’s architectural standards and planning values. As a principal at Kenneth / Raymond Design, I’ve led numerous projects that required navigating zoning, permitting, and design review processes—often working collaboratively with town staff, neighbors, and consultants. My strengths include a keen eye for design, a practical understanding of construction feasibility, and the ability to thoughtfully balance aesthetics, community concerns, and regulatory compliance. I also have strong communication and problem-solving skills, which I believe are essential when working toward consensus on complex or sensitive matters.

Please describe your previous community service and volunteer experience.

My community service has centered around contributing to Yountville’s growth, character, and connectivity through both professional and volunteer roles. I am currently an active board member of the Yountville Chamber of Commerce and have proudly served in this role for the past five years. During this time, I’ve supported initiatives that promote local businesses, foster tourism thoughtfully, and strengthen community engagement. Beyond my chamber involvement, I’ve regularly participated in public meetings and offered design insight to neighbors and town stakeholders. I’ve also volunteered my time assisting with neighborhood coordination on design and zoning matters, particularly when collaboration or clarification was needed to move a project forward. While some of this service has been informal, I’ve consistently aimed to be a constructive and accessible resource in the community—committed to preserving what makes Yountville special while contributing to its thoughtful evolution.

Anything else you would like to tell us?
I’ve chosen to live and work in Yountville because I value the sense of community, the thoughtful planning, and the unique charm that defines our town. I believe in giving back to the place I call home, and I see board service as a way to contribute meaningfully to the decisions that shape our shared environment. With both professional experience and personal investment in Yountville’s future, I approach this opportunity with humility, an open mind, and a strong desire to collaborate. I appreciate your consideration and the work you do to keep Yountville vibrant, balanced, and forward-thinking.
