Resolution Number 25-4384
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE PERSONNEL RULES AND POLICIES.
Recitals
A. WHEREAS, Section 1B of the Personnel Rules and Policies requires the Personnel Rules and Policies to be adopted by a resolution of the Town Council; and
B. WHEREAS, Section 1B of the Personnel Rules and Policies authorizes the Town Council, Town Manager, or Town Attorney to propose amendments and revisions to the Personnel Rules and Policies to the Town Council as needed; and
C. WHEREAS, the Town of Yountville’s Personnel Rules and Policies were originally adopted on March 7, 2001, and subsequently amended on September 6, 2011, and September 18, 2018; and D. WHEREAS, Staff has conducted a comprehensive review of the Personnel Rules and Policies and recommends a series of updates to clarify and modernize existing language, update the document to reflect current state and federal employment laws, and revise or add policies in response to changes in technology and the workplace; and
E. WHEREAS, the Human Resources Analyst coordinated review of the amended document with the Yountville Employee Associations (YEA and MMP), both of which have approved the proposed updates; and
F. WHEREAS, the Town Manager has reviewed and supports the revised personnel rules and policies.
Now therefore, the Town Council of the Town of Yountville does resolve as follows:
1. The revised Town of Yountville Personnel Rules and Policies, attached herein as Exhibit “A,” are hereby adopted.
2. The Town Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it shall become effective immediately upon its approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Yountville, State of California, held on this 5th day of August 2025, by the following vote:
