Dear Mayor Mohler, and Town Manager Raulston,

I hope this message finds you well.

As the owner of The Estate Yountville, I wanted to express my full and enthusiastic support for the two key agenda items at tomorrow’s Town Council meeting:

1. The establishment of an Entertainment Zone along Washington Boulevard, allowing open alcoholic beverage containers within a designated public area during approved events.

2. The authorization of Temporary Use Permits (TUPs) for pop-up activations, with Council discretion to approve durations of up to one year.

The Entertainment Zone proposal is a thoughtful initiative that will enhance Yountville’s walkability and encourage a vibrant, communal atmosphere. Allowing visitors to responsibly enjoy beverages while strolling along Washington Boulevard will support local tasting rooms, restaurants, and retail establishments, adding to the unique charm that makes Yountville so special.

Likewise, the flexibility provided by the TUP program is vital. Enabling creative pop-ups to activate vacant spaces for extended periods will foster innovation, attract new entrepreneurial energy, and keep our town dynamic and engaging for both visitors and residents.

Both measures reflect a forward-thinking vision that keeps Yountville relevant, exciting, and economically resilient. As a business owner deeply invested in the community, I commend you and the entire Council for your leadership and fully support these initiatives.

Thank you for your continued commitment to Yountville’s success.

Warm regards,
Gary Jabara
Owner, The Estate Yountville
