RECOMMENDATION
Approve the formation of a Business Relations and Economic Development Ad Hoc Committee comprised of two members of the Town Council.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND
In an effort to support local economic vitality and deepen the Town’s engagement with its business community, staff recommend the formation of an ad hoc committee focused on Business Relations and Economic Development.

The ad hoc committee would explore opportunities to enhance communication and collaboration between the Town and local businesses, identify emerging opportunities and challenges within the local economy, support small businesses and encourage local entrepreneurship, and align economic development efforts with the Town Council’s strategic priorities.

The committee would serve in an advisory role, meeting periodically and reporting back to the full Town Council with findings or recommendations. It is proposed that the ad hoc committee be comprised of Mayor Mohler and Council Member Reeves. As with all ad hoc committees, this body will dissolve once its purpose is fulfilled or upon further direction from the Council.
