A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF YOUNTVILLE ADOPTING THE 2024 NAPA COUNTY EMERGENCY OPERATIONS PLAN.
___________________________________________________________________________ Recitals
A. The Town of Yountville recognizes the importance of emergency preparedness to safeguard the lives, property, and well-being of the community.
B. The Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) serves as the foundational framework for coordinated emergency management and disaster response within the Napa County Operational Area, which includes the Town of Yountville.
C. The Napa County EOP aligns with the requirements of the California Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS) and the National Incident Management System (NIMS), ensuring interoperability and consistency with federal and state emergency response protocols.
D. The 2024 update to the Napa County Emergency Operations Plan reflects collaborative planning efforts, current emergency management practices, and the County’s commitment to serving the Whole Community.
E. Adoption of the Napa County EOP by the Town of Yountville affirms the Town’s continued partnership with countywide emergency planning and response efforts and ensures alignment with the broader Operational Area strategy.
F. The Town Council of the Town of Yountville finds that adoption of the Napa County EOP supports the Town’s emergency readiness and resilience goals.
Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of Yountville does resolve as follows:
1. The Town of Yountville hereby adopts the 2024 Napa County Emergency Operations Plan, attached hereto as Exhibit “A,” as the Town’s official emergency management plan.
2. The Town Manager, or their designee, is authorized to implement the provisions of the Emergency Operations Plan, coordinate participation in related training and exercises, and ensure alignment with ongoing emergency preparedness activities.
3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
